Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2018

The Sports Illustrated 'Swimsuit' magazine lands on newsstands every February - this year the online version came out before Valentine's Day.

It's a kinda big thing to appear at the Sports Illustrated for every model, athlete and celebrity as well. It happens just once a year, the shoots are mostly wonderful and it can be seen everywhere in the world - so it's a HUGE opportunity to take part in one of the shootings, especially be on the cover.

This year, the team picked a 'Caribbean' theme: all of their shoots was in Aruba, the Bahamas, Belize and St. Kitts & Nevis, so it was no winter, countryside or village themed shoot what I kinda missed, but it's actually all about swimsuits, isn't it? Let's see the images!

Danielle Herrington became the cover girl of the 2018's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, who is th 3rd darker colored model in the magazine's history - the last was Tyra Banks in 1998 as I remember. I honestly don't like this cover, don't like the model choice and I also find it strange that you can't see the magazine's logo on the cover.  Whats your opinion about the cover?

Alexis Ren is a fitness and glamour model with 12 million Instagram follower and she became the 'Rookie of the Year' (the best new model of the Sports Illustrated) few weeks ago. Last year it was Bianca Balti (who looks not so great this year) and in 2016 it was Barbara Palvin, who also looks spectacular. Look!

Barbara Palvin were criticized a lot about her figure, but I think she's by far the sexiest woman in this issue - and no, it isn't not because we are both hungarian. If I was the editor-in-chief of the magazine, I would choose this photo as the cover because it's just perfect. Barbara, I hope you will get the cover next year!

Lais Ribeiro is a Victoria's Secret Angel (she wore the famous Fantasy Bra last year), so like her body is amazing! Last year the Sports Illustrated team kinda messed up her shoot because all of them was about the nature: it was actually a landscape mixed panoramic shoot, where Lais could have been hardly seen. This year they did it great: In my opinion, she was one of the best models in this year's issue.

One of my big favourite this year is Anna de Paula, who appeared in the SI last year with a bodypainted shoot - she was awesome then and now too, however I found nothing interesting about her model career. Hopefully this year is going to be big for her!

She's so pretty! Robin Hölzken is a danish model, a Victoria's Secret catalogue regular girl, who is just 20 years old but already appeared at the Guess and the Calzedonia's commercials. I love her, however I think she could have been better in this shoot.

This Sports Illustrated-legend, Kate Upton was photographed in Aruba, but her photos were far not as great as in the past times. She did some awful ballett dancer poses what looked were strange but this photo is kinda great - that's why I picked it to the blog. I love the swimsuit too!

Chase Carter is a quite amateaur model - she mostly did catalogues, but this time she had a lucky and were able to get this issue. I don't like her body, she have no shape at all, but somehow her face is cute - she looks like a lot to my big SI favourite, Hannah (Davis) Jeter, who missed this issue mostly because she just became a mommy. However she have a much more better body (and face) than Chase.

Bianca Balti  is an italian high fashion model, the muse of Dolce & Gabbana and she's rarely doing any lingerie or swimwear modeling anymore - this time she did, just like year year, when she became the 'Rookie of the Year'. However I usually find her pretty, she is very thin, look like a skeleton, and there are few scary about her body in this issue as well. Eat some burger Bianca!

Hailey Clauson is my big favourite! This girl is just lovely, however this year's shoot was the worst in her SI history. Fortunately, she is very pretty and her body is great, but this the only reason why she had some great sunset photo. The problem with with Hiley's 2018 shoot that it was more cutie and sporty than usually and it didn't fit right the Swimsuit theme.

Samantha Hoopes is a kinda big Sports Illustrated girl - I have no idea what is she else she is modeling next to SI, but I really like that she got this Pamela Anderson Baywatch theme in all of her shoot. This year she was very great and however she got way too much plastic surgery, she's still a great model of SI. By the way, she posed at St. Kitts & Nevis.

Sailor Brinkley Cook is the daughter of the 70s Sports Illustrated legend, Christie Brinkley. Last year they both posed togther in the magazine and that shoot was much more better than now, but I guess the photographed messed up the whole thing, because Yu Tsai's work is kinda bad. I hoped in better results, but she was better than most of the rookies and she worth much more than this bad shoot so I hope she will be back next year!

Vita Sidorkina - a Victoria's Secret model - have one of the most beautiful faces in the model group and she might be the only one who were not dare to smile to the camera - I love it! Her shoot was by far my favourite next to Barbara's and I hope to see her more in the industry than last year.
