LION + WILD SWIM LAUNCH 2018
In today's market, very few swimsuit brands are memorable. It takes a lot for a swimwear line to be unique and differentiate themselves from other collections out there. Brands seem to follow the same wavelength and keep it safe with trending silhouettes and prints. However, there is always that designer that offers more than a bikini. Lion + Wild Swim is the perfect example in which swimwear becomes art.
When I came across this line, I knew I had to feature it on the blog. First off, they haven't launched yet, so I got a sneak peek to the daring and eye catching styles that are created by the designer, Heather Hilliard. In her collection, she joins sporty details such as a racer backs balanced with feminine ruffles. It's all about androgyny.
Heather describes the collection as a blend between a tomboy vibe with a flare of girlishness, for example, the short sleeved rash guard style is accented with a peek-a-boo hem, or the racer back crop top with the playful seashell cut outs. These are all reflections of the designer's personal style. The talented designer also sources the best of fabrics, some coming from Cyprus, Greece. She is keen on offering the best of luxury swimwear.
This collection is unique by it's own nature yet it is also reminiscent of Lee & Lani swimwear, which has similar cut outs and fun appliqué details in the same fashion as Lion + Wild Swim, however the latter is more current and youthful. I am eager to see all the looks go live, as I'd like to explore the price points.

More than swimwear, it is high fashion. As a bikini fashionista, I'm always on the hunt for swimwear brands that push the norm, it's all about having that editorial look on the beach. The high waist details paired with the sheer cuts out play on the feminine silhouette perfectly.
Additionally, the fun accents such as the sea shells and star appliqués make this collection fun, flirty and airy along with the adventurous neon palette. For those who like more subdued colors, there will be 4 solid earth tones available.
